Parker's 4th Birthday

After we left my Dad & Peggy's on Sunday afternoon, we headed to my cousin Laura and her husband Jason's house for their son Parker's 4th birthday party. Laura is my cousin on my mom's side (our mothers are sisters) so we got to visit with the Hilliard side of the family, too.

Parker had a Spiderman-themed birthday party, lucky boy!

Parker running around the yard and "getting the bad guys" aka cousins Brennen and Kyle

Chels playing ladder golf. The first time we played this game was last summer at our family reunion in Wisconsin with my mom's side of the family. We're hooked! It's a lot of fun and we just bought the game for ourselves, can't wait to play!

Ava, Parker, and their cousins on Jason's side of the family enjoying Spiderman birthday cupcakes

Claire's cupcake mustache, so cute!

Claire & Mommy on the teeter-totter

Jason made this teeter-totter for the kids. I think Blake thought it was a great idea, until Clarabelle wanted to be on it constantly... He said he might wait to make them one until Delilah is bigger and the two of them can play on it together!

Parker and Ava on the teeter-totter, they are so cute!

Lila rocking her cool sunglasses with Aunt Edie

New backpack, neat!

Claire patiently watching Parker open his presents. She waited until he moved on to the next present to run out there and try on his new backpack! Ha ha, cute!

It's so fun watching kids open presents. They get so excited and overwhelmed, like they can't decide if they want to stop and play with their awesome new gifts or keep opening up more. So funny!

Mom made Parker this stuffed animal dog/pillow, he loved it!

It's bigger than he is! :) Ava got one too, a pink cat.

Blake, Claire, and Ashley playing golf. Too bad we're not driving around in Grandpa's golf cart, huh Ash? :)

Claire playing golf

Parker playing with his new super-soaker from Chels and I. I was on the fence about getting him this, but Chelsea knew he would love it. So she opted for the "automatic" version that you don't have to pump to spray. The first thing Laura says when he opens it is "Hey! This says ages 6 and up!?" but Jason volunteered to help Parker use it, ha ha. Look out, Laura and Ava :) We had a lot of fun, I'm so glad we were visiting MN the same weekend as Parker's party!

Visiting with the Vigs in Northern Minnesota

Friday afternoon we drove up to Northern Minnesota to visit the family. We spent Friday and Saturday nights at Dad & Peggy's and had a barbecue with the Vigs on Saturday afternoon. It was so nice to see everyone!

Pretty sky on the drive up

Chelsea had to take a picture in the rear view mirror. She couldn't believe there were no cars behind us and was surprised each time she saw just the long stretch of road in the mirror. That's what happens when the city girl comes to the country!

Chels and Delilah relaxing on the sofa

A little yawn

There's a smile for her Aunties!

She looks like a natural!

City girl gone country...?

Pumpkin loves the slide!

Swinging is so fun! Claire loves swinging and always wants to "go to the park". So cute!

Here's Ash, Me, Bonnie, and cousin Jesseca, four peas in a pod at Grandma & Grandpa's as kids

Here we are again, minus Bonnie and with a new little blond addition Claire :) Jess was visiting from Alaska, it was so fun to see her again!

Grandpa, Grandma, Delilah, Dad, & Ashley. Four generations of Vigs, how cute!

Grandpa & Grandma just had their 50th wedding anniversary, yay! Look at how sweet their wedding picture is. I totally love it! Congratulations you two!

Cousins Claire & Tanner running through the field.

Holding hands, so sweet!

I told Uncle Mike that I was surprised the kids were allowed to run through the wheat field--the rule was to stay out of the fields when I was a kid! Though maybe it's because me, Ash & Jess got lost in the sunflower field and had to walk back along the rows until we made our way out, ha ha :)

I love the wide open fields, they are so beautiful. Sometimes you need to escape the city and drive down a dirt road again... It'll do you good!

Trying out Tanner's bike

Here's a fun new bike for Claire from her second-cousins Trevor & Tanner

We got to spend Father's Day with Dad for the first time in years, yay! Hope you had a great day, Dad!
