Well, the last day of our vacation finally arrived, and quickly too! We had so much fun and such a relaxing time, I think we all wanted to stay another two weeks :) Here are
Chels and I on the front deck on our last morning at the villa.
Our driver Sterling picked us up at the house on Saturday morning and drove us to the capital city San Jose where we spent the night before our crack of dawn flight home the next morning. On the way to San Jose, we made a few stops, including to a little village called
Sarchi that's famous for woodworking.
This cathedral is in the middle of the town, just off the town square. It was neat to see how each little town has a square that many people in the community spend time in. It was very populated when we drove through, and we decided to stop by and see this church.
Sterling told us the community is very proud of this church because they built it themselves. Apparently the community purchased the church from European designers, who then sent the pieces of the church but did not come to assemble it!

After a few hours drive, we arrive at our hotel in San Jose. It was a cute little place that had beautiful gardens and trails. It seemed a little like paradise with all the greenery, and right inside the city!
Different kinds of fruit were growing on the trees on the property, including limes and mangoes.
There were many beautiful flowers that I had never seen before
This is the main part of the hotel
There were also guest cottages on the property, so all of us kids stayed in this one. It was very cute!
They also grow herbs and other food for the hotel's restaurant
We think this was a joke :)
There were two older German Shepherds that lived on the property as well, they were very cute! Chelsea made friends with this one
Barry playing fetch with one of the dogs
Relaxing on the lawn
Rachel and Andrew hanging out in the hammock
What an amazing vacation! I can't wait to go back :) Thank you, Barry & Cindy, it truly was unforgettable!
